All art should be free. Art liberates the mind. The mind liberates humanity. Humanity liberates itself from learned needs and wants. We only think we are trapped, successful, weak, or strong. Humanity has proved that people can survive on nothing. If you doubt that then you must believe every living human being has what they need to survive.
Free Art: Mouth to Mouth
Mouth to Mouth, painted on organic canvas represents our desire to objectify and fulfil our fantasies. We all want control. Sometimes it’s bloody and we just go for it. No thoughts, all action.
I created the piece on a non-stretched canvas with acrylic paints and drywall mud this year in Los Angeles, California. I had to putty some holes in the drywall recently. So, I was fascinated by this cheap drywall mud. I started to spread it all over this canvas. It was a forgiving medium. Any painted and mudded areas could be sanded and made to look stressed. I also used a bit of bleach and a few spray bottles.
This handmade piece is great home decor in a light and warm or cool painted room that needs a philosophical and colorful infusion. Modern art can serve as a reminder of our colorful world.
